The department was established in the year 2019 with the objective of producing B. Voc.professionals and to fulfil the primary requirements of food industry and develop researchers. The Department offers one undergraduate .  

The Department, with the current faculty strength of two Assistant Professors sufficiently caters to its requisite teaching. Moreover, in order to cater to the requirements of interdisciplinary courses, guest teachers are regularly invited, as per requirements.

The Department has one well developed laboratories and adequate staff room for staff members. 

Objectives of the department:

  • To provide flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry and exit points.
  • To integrate NSQF within the UG level of higher education in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirements. Such graduates apart from meeting the needs of local and national industry are also expected to be equipped to become part of the global workforce.
  • To provide vertical mobility to students coming out of 10+2 vocational subjects.
  • Global mobility of skilled work force from India through international equivalence of NSQF.
